OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. The photograph entry period for the “MISS MADNESS” contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Saturday, 3/1/08 at 10pm Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on Friday, 3/14/08 at 10pm ET (the “Entry Period”).  All photograph entries must be submitted and received during the entry period. The on-line voting period of the contest will begin on 3/19/2008 at 6am ET and will end on 04/04/2008 at 6pmET (the “Voting Period)
b. To participate in the Contest, entrants must:

Attend a 105.7 WHFS Miss Madness event during the Entry Period at any of the Miss Madness locations that will be posted on www.whfs.com: Meikel Johns Pub 2/29, 8-10p(1438 Liberty Rd., Eldersburg, MD) 3/1, 8-10pThe Lodge Bar (10 Market Place, Power Plant Live Baltimore, MD) Greene Turtle 3/6,8-10p (8872 McGraw Rd. Columbia, MD) or HighTopps3/14,8-10p (2306 York Road, Timonium, MD). 
OR

Visit the 105.7 WHFS(FM) studio located at 1423 Clarkview Rd. Suite 100, Baltimore, MD 21209 during regular business hours during the Entry Period.

c. All entrants will be required to provide their first and last name (as well as alias or nickname), complete address, including city, state and zip code, telephone number, and date of birth on the entry form AND submit one (1) photograph of themselves] or have their photograph taken by a designated 105.7 WHFS staff member at the time of entry. Photographs submitted must be a “head shot.” PHOTOGRAPHS MAY BE POSTED ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB AT WWW.WHFS.COM.   ALL ENTRANTS MUST EXECUTE AN AFFIDAVIT OF ELIGIBILTY AND LIABILITY/PUBLICITY RELEASE AT THE TIME OF ENTRY AND MUST PROVIDE GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO IDENTIFICATION, WHICH WILL BE DUPLICATED FOR VERIFICATION PURPOSES, IN ORDER FOR THE ENTRANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST.  ENTRANTS WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A PHOTOGRAPH SUBMISSION RELEASE AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.  105.7 WHFS STAFF MUST CONFIRM THE AUTHENTICITY OF ALL PHOTOGAPH ENTRIES AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.  The Station is not responsible for late, stolen, mangled, illegible, incomplete or lost entries.

d. Photographic entries must be the original creative photographic work of the contestant and must not contain copyrighted materials or any other materials, which may be restricted, prohibited, or outlawed by federal, state or local laws. All photographic entries and their content become the property of 105.7 WHFS and will not be returned. 105.7 WHFS, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify and/or destroy any photographic entry if the entry contains illegal, indecent, pornographic, sexually explicit content or otherwise offensive material such as aberrational behavior, graphic violence or drug abuse, or is such photographic entry contains material whose content is deemed at the sole discretion of WHFS to be unsuitable for public viewing or posting via the internet. An official station staff member will photograph contestants who enter during the 105.7 WHFS “Miss Madness” events, as specified above. 

2.  ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The Contest is open to all WHFS listeners who are 21 years of age or older and who legally reside in the Baltimore Metropolitan area.  Employees of WHFS (the “Station”), its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Baltimore Metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win.  Subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

b. Listeners are eligible to win a WHFS contest only once every sixty (60) days and a prize valued over $600 or more only once per every six (6) months.  Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.

c. Winners will be required to sign all liability, publicity and participant release forms prior to acceptance of the prize.  All contestants will be required to show a valid government issued photo ID in order for their photo entry to be accepted.  

3.  PRIZES
a. Sixty-four (64) First Round prize winners will each receive – a certificate for a one-month membership to Merritt Athletic Club.  ARV:  $100  Exp. 5/08
Thirty-two (32) Second Round prize winners will each receive – a certificate for a Sun Tan package from Sol Sun Therapy.  ARV: $34 Sixteen Exp. 6/30
Four (4) Fifth Round prize winners will each receive –a $25 Damons Gift Card/The Other Side Gift Card.  ARV: $25
Two (2) Final Round prize winners will each receive -   Flowers-Flower Cart, Window Tinting-Fresh Designs Flower Bouquet Value $50
One (1) Grand prize winner will receive: a check in the amount of $500, Whitening-Baltimore Center of Advanced Dentistry, Flowers-Flower Cart, Window Tinting-Fresh Designs All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of the Station, 1423 Clarkview Rd. Suite 100, Baltimore, MD 21209.  The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within forty-five (45) days of winning.  In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss.  The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

b. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of Station management with respect to the Contest are final.

b. Entries (for participation in the First Round of the Contest) will be selected via the following method:  If more than 64 valid entries are submitted during the Entry Period, 64 First Round prize winners will be chosen at random by WHFS staff on or before 3/17/2008 by 10am ET.  The 64 entrant photographs will then be posted online at www.whfs.com at 6am from 3/19/2008 at 6am ET, at which time listener voting will take place.  Listeners will be encouraged to vote for their favorite Miss Madness contestant from the 64 posted photo entries. Only one internet vote per person, per voting round and per email address please.

c. On 3/21/2008 at approximately 6:00pm ET, the 32 Miss Madness contestants with the most votes will advance to the next round of the Contest and each will be awarded a Second Round prize. From 3/21/2008 at approximately 6:00pm ET  listeners will be encouraged to vote for their favorite Miss Madness contestant from the remaining photo entries posted online.  On 03/24/2008 at approximately 11:00am ET, the 16 Miss Madness contestants with the most votes will advance to the next voting round of the contest and will each be awarded a Third Round prize.  From 3/24/2008 at approximately 12:00am ET until ET, listeners will be encouraged to vote for their favorite Miss Madness contestant from the remaining photo entries posted online.  On 3/27/2007 at approximately 6:00pm ET, the 8 Miss Madness contestants with the most votes will advance to the next voting round of the contest and each will be awarded a Fourth Round prize.  From 3/27/2008 at approximately 6:00pm ET until 4/1/2008  5:00pm ET, listeners will be encouraged to vote for their favorite Miss Madness contestant from the remaining photo entries posted online.  On 4/01/2008 at approximately 6:00pm ET, the 4 Miss Madness contestants with the most votes will advance to the next voting round of the contest and will each be awarded a Fifth Round prize.  From 4/1/2008 at approximately 6:00pm ET until 4/4/2008 at approximately 6:00pm ET, listeners will be encouraged to vote for their favorite Miss Madness contestant from the remaining photo entries posted online.  On 4/04/2008 at approximately 6:00pm ET, the 2 Miss Madness contestants with the most votes will advance to the next voting round of the contest and each will be awarded a Final Round Prize. From 4/04/2008 at approximately 6:00pm ET until 4/7/2008 at approximately 6pm ET, listeners will be encouraged to vote for their favorite Miss Madness contestant from the remaining photo entries posted online. 

d. THE TWO (2) FINAL ROUND PRIZE WINNERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND the final event on Monday, April 7, 2008 from 8pm-10pm ET (Location TBD).  Both Final Round winners must arrive and be registered no later than 8:00pm ET or will be ineligible to receive either the Grand Prize OR the Runner Up prize. No stand-ins or proxies allowed.  At the final event, the Miss Madness contestant who received the most votes will be announced the Grand Prize winner and the runner-up will be deemed the Runner-Up winner.  If one or both of the Final Round prize winners fail to attend the final event, a Grand Prize winner and/or Runner-Up winner will be determined by the next highest number of votes received by the Fifth Round prize winners.

e. If any contestants are tied at any voting level, the Station reserves the right to conduct a random drawing of the tied contestants to select the winners of that particular voting round.

f. All winners will be notified via telephone.

g. Odds of winning a First Round prize depend on the number of entries received.  Odds of a First Round prize winner winning another prize depend on the number of listener votes received.

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.  Failure to provide an accurate and complete Social Security Number, if required, is a violation of federal law and will result in forfeiture of prize.

b. By participating in the Contest, the entrants each agree to have their photograph, name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize. 

c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Contest.

d. The Station, in is sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry or voting process, the operation of the Station Web Site or is otherwise in violation of the rules.  It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.

e. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.  If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed, cancelled or has a change of venue, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the Contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

f. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, solely at the discretion of the Station.

g. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Contest, or in the announcement of a prize.

h. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of WHFS, 1423 Clarkview Rd. Suite 100, Baltimore, MD 21209. 

6. INTERNET SWEEPSTAKES PRIVACY POLICY

a. By use of the WHFS website and by entering the Contest, entrants agree to WHFS Web Site Terms of Use Agreement and to the use of their personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at: http://www.whfs.com/pages/1129.php
